MADE IN FRANCE AND NOWHERE ELSE
Tell me where you are from and I’ll tell you who you are. We imagine and create in France, no matter the cost, offering seasoned artisans the chance to reinvent themselves upon uncovering new ideas. It’s our personal perspective: preserving know-how should never serve as pretext for remaining static. We thus bring together the desires, talent and the Made in France dynamics of our magic, little Paris-Tergnier-Millau triangle. Because we wouldn’t know how else to maintain the passion and loyalty of those who make up Camille Fournet intact. Nothing good can be done without passion. Conversation, proximity, and – a truly French element – a bit of debate, are essential. As such, Camille Fournet conceives and creates leather goods by hand, 100% Made in France. One can understand our desire to maintain a beautiful tradition. As eternal optimists, we see it as a formidable bet for the future.
MADE-TO-MEASURE, DOWN TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL
Camille Fournet has always been there to make its clients’ dreams come true, even the most intriguing. As if it were a sort of challenge. It is as such that our made-to-measure creations developed year by year. It seems increasingly natural to us to wish to create something ultra-personal; in doing so, that which was once an exception, for us, becomes the norm.
Today, the House creates over 400,000 made-to-measure watch straps and handbags each year at its factory in Tergnier. It proposes an exceptional palette of over 600 colors for all its precious leathers, which is further enriched each season. A little realm that can be adapted, using handfuls of hues, based on one’s desires, whether it involves a made-to-measure wallet, handbag, watch strap, or even a keyring.
Rendez-vous on our site to uncover our new made-to-measure tool. With the online configurator, you can conceive the bag of your dreams. We’ve done everything to make it indispensable.
9 AND 30 BIS RUE HOCHE, TERGNIER, PICARDIE, FRANCE
For seventy-five years, Camille Fournet has created unique leather goods and watch straps for its clients and the most prominent watch houses. As such, our factory has become a source of pride. Everything is learned over the years, but nothing is ever taken for granted.
well as those of tomorrow. And to cultivate the fruits of our exceptional, collaborative efforts between skilled artisans and accomplished designers. For that, one element is essential: proximity. Our factory stands close to our Parisian design studios. We continue to perpetuate and develop our level of excellency since the factory’s creation in 1945.
The factory has never remained static. Year by year, it has grown to welcome new members, as well as a new leather crafting school to come. Savoir-faire, minute attention to detail, a made-to-measure approach and artisanal creativity are encouraged. We will never achieve excellence through restraint. It’s a matter of mastering the subtleties of the rare leathers proposed by Camille Fournet.
A GUIDED VISIT OF OUR DEAR TERGNIER
Today, the factory in Tergnier is comprised of over 250 members, dedicated to the creation of unique watch straps. But since 2011, they have also devoted themselves to the House’s leather goods collections, as well. The ateliers must be a place where competencies are shared, just as in the work of goldsmiths. Experience the creation of our bags and watch straps thanks to a guided, interactive visit of our factory in Tergnier. You will learn all there is to know about how these pieces are made, step by step, at the speed of your choice. At times, we’ll even ask you to participate for a bit of fun.
THE ART AND MANNER OF BRINGING A MYTH BACK TO LIFE
1946, Millau: the historic heart of the French glove making tradition. Lavabre Cadet, the small, passionate glove maker, grows faster and faster, drawing the attention of the most renowned French fashion houses. Christian Dior is the first to make a move. Countless others soon follow: Chanel, Yves St Laurent, Givenchy. Naturally, Lavabre Cadet begins to develop its own collections. It must be noted that the House’s level of exigency and savoir-faire perfectly reflect the contemporary values of French luxury. And the beautiful story doesn’t end there. In 2013, the house joins Camille Fournet. The two Houses are naturally linked. The same values, the same desire to promote and give life to French artisanry, the same prominence given to work done by hand… everything is in perfect cohesion to draw them to one another. With the support of Camille Fournet, the House pursues its wildest dream: to share its unique savoir-faire with the entire world.
FOR SAVOIR-FAIRE AND INVENTIVENESS TO BE FULLY EXPRESSED, WE OFFER OUR ARTISANS COMPLETE FREEDOM IN THEIR WORK. HAPPY EXCELLENCE.
